Likely you have heard this story told by a Pastor, Priest or Reverend: About the guy or gal that shows up at the pearly gates and Saint Peter escorts them to a huge warehouse that stretches as far as the eye can see. The new arrival is escorted to a given location, then through the doorway and within a room are dozens upon dozens of unopened gifts and packages. When asked, St. Peter informs the new arrival that; "these are the gifts that God had for you, but you didn’t ask."

 

How sad to think one might fail to ask for what they need, only to find later, when all of our worldly needs will be behind us, what God had for us; if we only would have asked. The bible teaches us ask and it will be given unto you. Jesus instructs the Disciples very clearly in John 19 beginning in verse 23 "…very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

 

God has continued to assure the needs of the Faith Medical Clinic are met. I have witnessed many changes, over the past five years within this ministry and God’s support has been unwavering. The difficult part for me and I believe for several others, is letting go of our expectations and working toward and awaiting His gifts.

 

The small group of "Spiritual Counselors" or Chaplains plans to continue to work to minister to our clients and their families. In addition to offering prayerful support and working to meet spiritual needs we have undertaken to learn more about programs available to those whose needs may be more immediate, even perhaps financial. Please ask one of our Chaplains or complete the confidential form provided by Registration to be contacted later by telephone. Our goal is to share God’s good news and how you can access information about programs that may be available.
